Cleaning with natural substances, without using chemicals that can harm your health and the environment, is much easier than you think.
Here are some ideas and some natural products – or remedies – that you can use to clean your windows without streaks and that (perhaps) you hadn’t thought of yet!
The microfiber cloth
This is certainly the simplest idea. Simply dampen (then wring) the microfiber cloth in a little warm water and run it over the glass. It is not even necessary to rinse.
Do-it-yourself natural cleanser
A blend of natural ingredients is all you need to make your window shine again!
Hot water and vinegar
Also great for cleaning the oven, vinegar is an excellent natural glass cleaner. Take lukewarm water and pour it; dampen a cloth and wipe the glass (or put it in an old spray bottle and spray it directly on the surface to be washed). It is possible that the first few times you use this method you may feel that the glass is not clean. The problem is that the synthetics you’ve used before leave residue, so it will take some time to get them all off. If you want a milder scent than vinegar, add your favorite essential oil, such as citrus or lavender, to the mix.
Cornflour or cornstarch is famous for cakes, but what you don’t know is that you can also use it to clean glass!
With sheets of newspaper
It doesn’t matter what kind of newspaper you have at home: after reading it, use it to clean your windows. Newspapers have an ink that is perfect for deep cleaning windows. First, wipe the glass with a sponge soaked in water, then roll up the sheet of newspaper and rub it. Continue until drying is complete!
